Quickbooks Data Recovery and File Repair Support
Quickbooks Connection has been lost

Error -14102,0 or -14108,0

To resolve this issue, please follow these steps:

  1. Install the previous version of QuickBooks if it has already been uninstalled from your computer.
  2. In the previous version of QuickBooks, restore your company file:
    1. From the File menu, select Restore.
    2. Locate and select your backup file and follow the restore process.
  3. Choose File > Utilities > Verify Data.
  4. After the verification process completes, from the File menu, choose Utilities and then select Rebuild Data..
  5. If there are errors while rebuilding the data file, check the QBWIN.LOG file to see where the errors occurred:
    1. With QuickBooks open, press the F2 key on your keyboard and then press the F3 key. This will bring up the TechHelp window.
    2. Click the Open File tab and then double-click QBWIN.LOG in the list of files.
    3. The errors will be reported toward the end of the file. You may need to delete and re-enter the transactions listed.
  6. Once the transactions have been repaired, verify and rebuild the company file again.
  7. Once the company file is repaired, start the new QuickBooks version. Open the data file with that version and follow the process to update your data file.
